1. SUNDAY, APRIL 5: MEMBERSHIP ELECTRONIC MEETING

MoTAS Monthly Meeting – Sunday April 5, 9am

MoTAS is comprised of men who enjoy seeing each other on a monthly basis. With the temple closed and no restaurants to meet at, we have decided to meet online via Zoom on Sunday Morning April 5^th. We will cover a little business, talk about how the temple is doing, and then trade stories. Our meeting will be BYOB (Bring Your Own Brunch) for show and tell if you like. There will be a prize for the most outrageous pajama top if you are interested. Just remind your family to be dressed if they are going to walk by the camera.

Use the following to access the Zoom meeting a few minutes before 9. If this is your first time, when you select the website you will receive a series of prompts for you to confirm. One will have you select the Blue arrow at the top of your screen in order to download the meeting interface. You may or may not need to type in the Meeting ID and Password (below), you will be prompted if necessary.

2. SUNDAY APRIL 5: MEN’S ONLY ELECTRONIC DISCUSSION GROUP

Please note the date change to Sunday April 5 at 7pm. Our Men’s Only Discussion groups provide a forum for discussing men’s issues in an environment where what is said in the room, stays in the room. It is your opportunity to discuss important topics with your peers. This meeting is still on, but is being converted to an electronic meeting. There is still some spaces left; please RSVP to Bob Levine at tasboblevine@gmail.com. He will be sending out the Zoom meeting invitation before the meeting. He will also be glad to answer any question you might have regarding the event.

3. YELLOW CANDLE UPDATE

Needless to say, in the time of “Safer at Home”, we are unable to have a packing meeting and send out physical candles. But our commemoration of Yom HaShoah will be going on. Our plan right now is to do an electronic mailing to a virtual candle, with messages from our clergy and prayers, and we will all “light” our candles in memory together. Watch your emailbox for more information in the coming weeks.

4. ONGOING: OUR ANNUAL APPEAL FOR MOTAS AND TAS PRIDE

Our annual operating budget depends on the generous contributions of our temple members. We use the funds to run our organization, support the ECEC and Religious School, and the Temple. In combination with our other fundraising activities, we support the costs of Camperships, the Avodah Program, the free pancake breakfast, Confirmation L’Taken, and many more activities and benefits that are not part of the Temple budget.
