1. OCTOBER MOTAS BRUNCH MEETING – SUN OCT 14 @ 8:45 AM
All male members of the temple are invited to share a bagel and eggs brunch on Sunday October 14 in the Activity Center. This will be a good chance to familiarize yourself with a group of Men dedicated to the success of our temple. Rabbi Kalfus will be installing our new officers and will then familiarize us with his goals and aspirations for our temple. Join us for good food and a little fun. If this will be your first time attending, please call Howard Miller at (818) 993-0796 so that we can plan on serving you!
2. CHARITY POKER TOURNAMENT – SUN OCT 21
Tuesday, you received an email from MoTAS regarding the 2018 Men of TAS (Temple Ahavat Shalom) and Men of Temple Ramat Zion Texas Hold-em Charity Poker Tournament to be held on Sunday October 21 at Temple Ahavat Shalom (if you didn’t see it, click here). Don’t worry, we’re not using the power of cut and paste to send it again. But quickly — we need you to:
- Sign up as a player.
- Sign up as a sponsor.
- Tell your friends to sign up as a player or a sponsor. You can download a copy of the flyer here.
- Donate prizes to our raffle table or silent acution.
How do you do this? Easy — print and fill out the registration form and mail your check payable to Men of TAS (or your credit card information) to Howard Miller at 9656 Geyser Ave, Northridge CA 91324. You can also visit poker.tasnorthridge-motas.org and register and pay online (or click here to go directly to the Eventbee). If you have a donation, again, get it to Howard. Call Howard at (818) 993-0796 if you have any questions.
Don’t play poker? We still need you! We’re going to need volutneers to help with our registration desk and to serve food and drinks, and to help the poker players when they need to rebuy chips. 3. SISTERHOOD CHANUKAH BOUTIQUE – SUN OCT 28
The TAS Sisterhood will be holding its Chanukah Boutique on Sunday, October 28. Traditionally, MoTAS has supported this event by providing food for sale for the vendors and attendees. We are still finalizing our participation and will be discussing it at the October meeting. If you would be able and willing to help at the event, we’ve set up an Eventbee RSVP list, so sign up today!
