- NOVEMBER 15 DINNER MEETING – A SALUTE TO TAS VETERANS
- MENORAHS AND MARTINIS WITH TRZ – DEC 10
- CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER FOR JEWS
- IN CLOSING
On Thursday evening, November 15, as part of our monthly meeting, The Men of TAS would like to commemorate Veterans Day by paying a tribute to our temple veterans. We would like to treat all temple service personnel, male or female, who RSVP (up to 50 people) and show up to dinner as a way to thank them for their service. We would also like to hear your story as a Jewish service person.
The dinner will be held at Ali Baba’s Persian Restaurant at 6pm at 17513 Chatsworth in Granada Hills. Please RSVP to Howard Miller (993-0796 or email@example.com) by Tuesday, November 13. Entrees will range from $15-30 in cost, plus tax and tip (about 25% more). A set menu will include beef, chicken and veggie dinners. Building on the relationship established during the Purim Carnival and the Poker Tournament, the President of the Men of TRZ has invited MOTAS to join them for Menorahs and Martinis on December 10th (1st day of Chanukah). They ask that guys bring their own menorahs and candles, and the TRZ cantor will talk to us about the holiday and we’ll sing songs. More details as they become available.
MoTAS is holding our annuallish Christmas Day Dinner for Jews. Our plan is for the standard Jewish Christmas faire, Chinese food at a restaurant to be determined, along with a great movie for couples, movie and theater to be announced. So, put it on your calendars if you want to spend Christmas night with friends and we will have the details available in early December.
